Begin your adventure in Bhalukpong, a tranquil town nestled by the Kameng River, known for its lush forests and entry point to Arunachal. Continue to Dirang, a picturesque valley with hot springs, orchards, and ancient monasteries. Your journey ascends to Tawang, the heart of Arunachal, where you’ll spend three magical nights exploring the majestic Tawang Monastery, Sela Pass, Madhuri Lake (Shonga-tser), and the Indo-China border at Bum La Pass (subject to permit and weather).

On the return, stop at Bomdila, a peaceful town with scenic views, Buddhist monasteries, and local handicraft markets. The tour concludes with a night in Guwahati, where you may visit the revered Kamakhya Temple before departure.

Itinerary

  • Day 1
    Guwahati – Bhalukpong (ASSAM – ARUNACHAL PRADESH)

    Arrive at Guwahati airport and drive to Bhalukpong (240 km/5 hrs). Reach Bhalukpong and check in hotel. Overnight at Bhalukpong.

  • Day 2
    Bhalukpong – Dirang (ASSAM – ARUNACHAL PRADESH)

    After breakfast drive to Dirang (180 km / 08 hrs), en-route at Tipi visit Orchid Center and en-route visit Sessa Orchid Sanctuary (blooming is from end March till May), reach Dirang and visit the Dirang Dzong and a Monpa village. Check into the hotel and overnight at Dirang.

  • Day 3
    Dirang – Tawang (ARUNACHAL PRADESH)

    Today after breakfast drive to Tawang (160 km / 08 hrs), en-route you will visit Sella Pass and Sella Lake situated at an altitude of 13476 ft. Also visit Jaswant Ghar and before reaching Tawang visit the Nunarang fall. Reach Tawang and check into Hotel. Evening at leisure. Overnight at Tawang.

  • Day 4
    Tawang (ARUNACHAL PRADESH)

    After breakfast visit Tawang Monastery - the second biggest and oldest in Asia and is known as the Tawang Ganden Namgyal Lhatse, the celestial paradise of the divine site chosen by the horse was founded by Merag Lodroe Gyamtso in the year 1680-81. The Dalai Lama gave him a painting of goddess Palden Lhamo to be kept in the monastery. The 8 m high gilded statue of Lord Buddha dominates the sanctum. Also, visit Urgelling Monastery - the birthplace of the Sixth Dalia Lama. Ani Gompa, after a late lunch and refreshment, visits Tawang War Memorial and evening at leisure. Overnight at Tawang.

  • Day 5
    Tawang (ARUNACHAL PRADESH)

    After breakfast, drive to explore Bumla Pass and Sangestar Lake. The Sangestar Lake, also known as Madhuri Lake, is about 20 km from Tawang, en route to the road leading to Bum La Pass. The lake has been surrounded by wonderfully lush valleys and snow-capped mountains. A leisure walk is the best way to explore the picturesque surroundings of the lake. Bumla Pass, situated at an altitude of over 15,000 ft is snowbound for almost the entire year due to its steep elevation and presents a beautiful view of the Tibetan plateau. The road to the pass takes visitors through many sleepy hamlets and scenic lakes, making the drive memorable. Maintained by the Indian Army, Bumla Pass is a must for those who want to see how Indian soldiers protect the borders in the harshest of climes. Note: Our vehicles are not allowed for Bumla Pass, PTSo lake, and Madhuri lake sightseeing at Tawang. Therefore, guests have to hire a local Vehicle where our driver will assist the guest, but please note that we have no control over there. Bumla Pass is accessible only by permission of the Deputy Commissioner in Tawang District and the Indian army of Tawang.

  • Day 6
    Tawang – Bomdila (ARUNACHAL PRADESH)

    After breakfast drive to Bomdila (195 Kms / 7 hrs drive). En route visit the very famous Apple orchid if time permits. Check in hotel. Overnight at Bomdila.

  • Day 7
    Bomdila – Guwahati (ARUNACHAL PRADESH – ASSAM)

    After breakfast, check out hotel and drive to Guwahati (350 kms / 08 hrs). Reach Guwahati and check into hotel and overnight stay.

  • Day 8
    Guwahati (ASSAM)

    After breakfast transfer to Guwahati airport.

10% of tours cost OR Initial Booking amount will charged Up to 30 days prior to date of departure:

25% of tours cost OR will charged Initial Bookings amount Between 15 days to 29 days prior to departure:

50% of tour cost OR Initial Booking amount whichever is higher
