Overview

Embark on an exciting 9 Nights / 10 Days tour through the enchanting landscapes of Assam, Meghalaya, and Arunachal Pradesh, exploring diverse wildlife, breathtaking scenery, and rich cultural heritage. Begin your journey in Guwahati, visiting the revered Kamakhya Temple and enjoying a scenic cruise on the Brahmaputra River. Next, travel to Shillong, the capital of Meghalaya, where you will explore the picturesque Umiam Lake, Elephant Falls, and local markets. Visit Cherrapunji or Mawsynram, famous for the living root bridges, Nohkalikai Falls, and Mawsmai Caves.

Continue your adventure to Kaziranga National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage site, where an exhilarating jungle safari awaits, offering sightings of the one-horned rhinoceros, elephants, and tigers. From there, journey into Arunachal Pradesh, stopping at Dirang and Sela Pass before reaching Tawang, home to the magnificent Tawang Monastery, the largest in India. Explore Madhuri Lake and Bum La Pass, near the Indo-China border, and visit Bomdila to witness stunning Himalayan landscapes. This tour blends wildlife, nature, adventure, and spirituality, offering a perfect glimpse of Northeast India's wonders. 

Itinerary

  • Day 1
    Guwahati – Shillong (ASSAM – MEGHALAYA)

    Arrive at Guwahati airport and drive to Shillong (140 km / 4 hrs drive approx). Check-in Hotel and after refreshment if time permits, we visit Cathedral of Mary and Ward’s Lake, evening roam the Shillong famous Police Bazar on foot. Overnight in Shillong.

  • Day 2
    Shillong – Cherrapunjee - Shillong (MEGHALAYA)

    After breakfast check out hotel and drive to Cherrapunjee (60 km/2 ½ hrs). Check in hotel and promptly visit Mawsmai Cave, Seven Sisters Falls and Nohkalikai Falls. After lunch at Cherrapunjee, visit Thankarang Park, Koh Ramhah. Drive back to Shillong. Overnight at Shillong. Note: Please note that all sightseeing is possible if time permits and all waterfalls are active during monsoon season.

  • Day 3
    Shillong –Bhalukpong (MEGHALAYA – ASSAM)

    After breakfast, drive to Bhalukpong (300 kms / 7 hrs drive). Reached Bhalukpong and check in hotel. Overnight at Hotel.

  • Day 4
    Bhalukpong – Dirang (ASSAM – ARUNACHAL PRADESH)

    Today after breakfast drive to Dirang (180 kms / 08 hrs), enroute at Tipi visit Orchid Center and enroute visit Sessa Orchid Sanctuary (blooming is from end March till May), reach Dirang and visit the Dirang Dzong and a Monpa village. Check into the hotel and overnight at Dirang.

  • Day 5
    Dirang – Tawang (ARUNACHAL PRADESH)

    Today after breakfast, drive to Tawang (160 kms / 08 hrs), en-route you will visit Sella Pass and Sella Lake situated at an altitude of 13476 ft. Also visit Jaswant Ghar and before reaching Tawang visit the Nunarang fall. Reach Tawang and check into Hotel. Evening at leisure. Overnight at Tawang.

  • Day 6
    Tawang (ARUNACHAL PRADESH)

    After breakfast visit Tawang Monastery - the second biggest and oldest in Asia and is known as the Tawang Ganden Namgyal Lhatse, the celestial paradise of the divine site chosen by the horse was founded by Merag Lodroe Gyamtso in the year 1680-81. The Dalai Lama gave him a painting of goddess Palden Lhamo to be kept in the monastery. The 8 m high gilded statue of Lord Buddha dominates the sanctum. Also, visit Urgelling Monastery - the birthplace of the Sixth Dalia Lama. Ani Gompa, after a late lunch and refreshment, visits Tawang War Memorial and evening at leisure. Overnight at Tawang. Note: Our vehicles are not allowed for Bumla Pass, PTSo lake, and Madhuri lake sightseeing at Tawang. Therefore, guests have to hire a local Vehicle on direct payment basis where our driver will assist the guest, but please note that we have no control over there.

  • Day 7
    Tawang – Bomdila (ARUNACHAL PRADESH)

    After breakfast drive to Bomdila (195 kms / 7 hrs drive). En-route visit the very famous Apple orchid if time permits. Check in hotel. Overnight at Bomdila.

  • Day 8
    Bomdila – Kaziranga (ARUNACHAL PRADESH – ASSAM)

    After breakfast, check out the hotel and drive to Kaziranga National Park (235 km / 07 hrs). Reach Kaziranga, check into a hotel and stay overnight. Kaziranga National Park: It is inhabited by the world's largest population of one-horned rhinoceroses, as well as many mammals, including tigers, elephants, panthers and bears, and thousands of birds. Note: Please be informed that elephant ride, jeep safari, and forest entry are regulated and controlled by the forest dept. Govt. of Assam. We do not have any control over the booking of elephant seats and entry by jeeps.

  • Day 9
    Kaziranga (ASSAM)

    After breakfast, enjoy the Park on a Jeep. Evening visit tea garden or Kaziranga Orchid park on direct payment basis. Overnight at Kaziranga.

  • Day 10
    Kaziranga – Guwahati airport drop (ASSAM)

    After breakfast, check out and drive to Guwahati airport for an onward journey.

Please note Cancellation / Amendment requests need to reach us in writing. Any amendment received after booking will be treated as cancellation. The Cancellation policy is as follows.

10% of tours cost OR Initial Booking amount will charged Up to 30 days prior to date of departure:

25% of tours cost OR will charged Initial Bookings amount Between 15 days to 29 days prior to departure:

50% of tour cost OR Initial Booking amount whichever is higher
